The first fifteen years of Dr. Samadi were spent in his country of birth, Iran. However, following the beginning of Iranian Revolution, he moved away with his younger brother. They settled in Belgium and attended early education in both Belgium and London. His ethnicity is Iranian Jewish. Dr david Samadi left Belgium later for the US where he has lived ever since.

David pursued his high school education in New York where he also settled. The degree he holds in biochemistry was earned at Stony Book University. Later, he completed an M. D in urology, graduating from S. U. N. Y in 1994. Montefiore Medical Center is where he undertook his postgraduate studies. Later fellowships and trainings attended revolved around urology, which was his field of interest.

David spent a few years during his initial years at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. While there, he served as Vice Chair for the Urology department and Chief of Robotics before transferring to (LHH) Lenox Hill Hospital. When leaving Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, he brought his former staff to LHH. The positions of Chair of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery were given to him upon transferring to LHH. The school of medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ also appointed him as a professor in the faculty.

Samadi maintains a membership with the American Medical Association as well as American Urological Association. The state of New York recognized him as the highest paid doctor in 2012. At the moment, he earns in the excess of 7.6 million United States Dollars annually. Besides specializing in urologic medical conditions, he also specializes in cancers of the bladder, kidney, and prostate.
